Exporting Football Manager Data
The next step to calculate role scores is to export Football Manager Data before uploading the exported data to FMDataLab.
As we went over in the previous steps, there are 3 screens where you can export data to upload here on FMDataLab;
- Player Search View
- Player Shortlist View
- Squad View
So, you will want to go to one of the screens listed below and ensure the view is one of the Views Provided
How to export players from the Player Search screen?
Within Football Manager;
- Navigate to the Scouting page
- Click on the Players Tab
- Select the Players in Range Option
- Ensure the current View is "fmdatalab_player_search_view"
- You will then need to click and select the first player in the list, you will then see that player row highlighted, then select all the players in the list, to achieve this, you will need to do the following;If you are on Windows you will need to press Ctrl + A to select ALL players in the list, then press Ctrl + P to bring up the export option popupIf you are on Mac0S you will need to press ⌘ + A to select ALL players in the list, then press ⌘ + P to bring up the print options popup.
- With the print options displayed, you will need to select the Web Page option
- You will then be prompted to select the filename and file location of the export, so select a relevant filename and location so you can locate this file to upload in the future.

How to export players from the Player Shortlist screen?
Within Football Manager;
- Navigate to the Scouting page
- Click on the Shortlist Tab
- Select the Shortlist Option
- Ensure the current View is "fmdatalab_shortlist_view"
- You will then need to click and select the first player in the list, you will then see that player row highlighted, then select all the players in the list, to achieve this, you will need to do the following;If you are on Windows you will need to press Ctrl + A to select ALL players in the list, then press Ctrl + P to bring up the export option popupIf you are on Mac0S you will need to press ⌘ + A to select ALL players in the list, then press ⌘ + P to bring up the print options popup.

- Navigate to a Squad page (This can be your squad or an opposition squad)
- Ensure the current View is "fmdatalab_squad_view"
- You will then need to click and select the first player in the list, you will then see that player row highlighted, then select all the players in the list, to achieve this, you will need to do the following;If you are on Windows you will need to press Ctrl + A to select ALL players in the list, then press Ctrl + P to bring up the export option popupIf you are on Mac0S you will need to press ⌘ + A to select ALL players in the list, then press ⌘ + P to bring up the print options popup.
